Protection of Personal Data
Slide Surfcamp never makes personal data available to third parties for use. The personal data required for business transactions is treated confidentially. Slide Surfcamp stores, processes, and uses the data received in connection with the contractual relationship only to the extent necessary for proper transaction processing.
Online Presence in Social Media
We maintain online presences within social networks and platforms to communicate with active customers, interested parties, and users, and to inform them about our services.
Please note that user data may be processed outside the European Union. This may pose risks for users, as it could make it more difficult to enforce their rights. Regarding US providers certified under the Privacy Shield, we point out that they are committed to complying with EU data protection standards.
Additionally, user data is generally processed for market research and advertising purposes. For instance, usage profiles may be created from user behavior and interests. These profiles can be used to display advertisements within and outside of these platforms that presumably match users’ interests. For these purposes, cookies are usually stored on users’ devices, where their usage behavior and interests are saved. Moreover, data can also be stored in user profiles independently of the devices used (especially if users are members of the respective platforms and logged in).
The processing of users’ personal data is based on our legitimate interests in effectively informing and communicating with users in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. If users are asked for their consent by the platform providers, the legal basis for processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. a, Art. 7 GDPR.
